报告摘要：I will review the singular limit problems for quasilinear symmetric hyperbolic partial differential equations on periodic domains with ill-prepared initial data, revisit the filtering method proposed by Schochet [7], and discuss a series of problems resolved in recent years using this technique, such as the small Alfvén number limit for the magnetohydrodynamics equations and the incompressible limit for the Euler equations.
