1. 报告题目: On the K-theories of the Roe and quasi-local algebras

报告摘要: Quasi-local algebras are operator algebras associated with metric spaces, which encode their coarse geometry. They were introduced by John Roe and played an important role in the study of higher index theory, since their K-theories serve as receptacles for higher indices of pseudo-differential elliptic operators on open manifolds. Compared to the classical Roe algebras, the structures of quasi-local algebras are more complicated and it is a long-standing question whether their K-theories are the same. In this talk, we introduce state-of-the-art results concerning the relation between their structures, and our recent progress on the K-theories of these algebras. This is joint work with Kang Li and Jingming Zhu.

2. 报告题目：On the compactness of a class of radial operators on the weighted Dirichlet spaces

报告摘要：In this talk, under a mild condition, we prove that the vanishing of the Berezin type transform on the unit circle is equivalent to the compactness of a class of radial operators on weighted Dirichlet spaces. Furthermore, we characterize the necessary and sufficient condition for Toeplitz operator induced by the bounded radial function to be compact on weighted Dirichlet spaces. We also study the properties of essential commutant of the Toeplitz operator $T_z$.

4. 报告题目: Strong reducibility of operators in separable factors

报告摘要： Let $\mathcal{M}$ be a separable factor acting on a Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$. For every operator $T$ in $\mathcal{M}$, let $N(T)$ be the null projection of $T$. In this talk, we consider the class of strictly upper triangular operators, i.e., the class of operators satisfying $\bigvee^{\infty}_{n=1} N(T^n) = I$. For every operator $T$ in this class, we characterize necessary and sufficient conditions for $T$ to be strongly reducible in $\mathcal{M}$. We will also discuss several applications of this characterization.

5. 报告题目：Surjective L^p-isometries on the projection lattice

报告摘要：Let H be an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space and P(H) be the set of all orthogonal projections on H. In this talk, we will discuss the surjective isometries of the projection lattice P(H) with respect to Lp-norm. We show that such a mapping is characterized by means of unitaries and antiunitaries.

6. 报告题目：A C*-algebra of entire functions

报告人：马攀（中南大学）

报告摘要：We study the maximal abelian von Neumann algebra corresponding to L∞(R) via the Bargmann transform. It is naturally an algebra of operators on the Fock space, but it can also be realized as a function algebra contained Fock space. This provides an interesting example of a C*-algebra whose elements are analytic functions. This talk is based on the joint work with Kehe Zhu.
